Chef Connor Mooney, known as "The Big Burly Chef," is a culinary explorer with a passion for food, culture, and community. From his roots as a chef in Calgary to traveling and working in 37 countries, he has immersed himself in kitchens worldwide, mastering diverse cuisines with a focus on African flavors. With over 17 years exploring and working across Africa—including Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Namibia, and Zimbabwe—Connor has developed a deep love for safari and the warmth of African hospitality. His journey extends beyond cooking; he is dedicated to building communities, fostering cultural exchange, and bringing people together through unforgettable food and adventure. Whether in a fine dining restaurant or the heart of the African wilderness, Connor’s passion, bold flavors, and love for connection shine through.
